Cockapoo puppies are a cross between the American cocker spaniel and the poodle. Breeders have succeeded in capturing the best characteristics of the cocker and the poodle. Cockapoo puppies are friendly and devoted and strongly built like the cocker spaniel. Like the poodle they shed very little, are smart, and less aggressive. While these cockapoo dogs are generally considered a very healthy breed there are a few diseases that are seen. They can experience glaucoma and orthopedic problems with their legs. They are occasionally known to have ear infections or check the ears for any problems. Eye problems and hypothyroid problems are sometimes noticed in cockapoo puppies.
